About this event

Roshni, the flagship Diwali celebration by the Indian Student Association (ISA) at New Mexico State University, will be held in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Islander (API) Program on Sunday, November 8th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Corbett Center.

Meaning "light" in Hindi, Roshni symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. This vibrant evening brings together the NMSU and Las Cruces community to celebrate India's most cherished festival through a blend of culture, tradition, and unity. The venue will be beautifully decorated to reflect the warmth and color of Diwali, offering a perfect setting to enjoy the festivities. The event serves as a platform to experience the richness of Indian culture, connect with diverse communities, and create lasting memories under the radiant glow of the festival of lights. Attendees are encouraged to dress in traditional attire and join both the ISA family and the API Program in celebrating joy, togetherness, and the spirit of Diwali.
