About this event

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos, catch a mesoamerican ball game and shop your favorite Las Cruces Vendors at this evening event on campus!

AJUPEME USA is part of an International Mesoamerican Ball Game Association that originated in Mexico founded by Armando Uscanga and Reyna Puc. The Mesoamerican Ballgame is the oldest team sport in history, and the first to ever use both a rubber ball and a hoop.

Folks are encouraged to build an altar to display for the event. Attendees are invited to take their time in admiring the altares built by community members.

Vendors will be on site with delicious goodies and Dia de los Muertos gifts.

Co-hosted by the Anthropology department, History department, Linguistics Department, University Museum & Southwest Border Culture Institute.

Hosted by: History Department, Latin American Programs, University Museum Kent Hall
