On Jan. 20, 16 groups petitioned NMED and Gov. Lujan Grisham to increase transparency in reviewing Project Jupiter’s air quality permits in Santa Teresa - demanding longer comment periods, local public hearings, and bilingual disclosures to secure community input before proceeding.

La Piñon Sexual Assault Recovery Services in southern New Mexico is asking for $2 million in recurring state funds to sustain its Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Program and other vital services in rural areas + nearly 6,000 survivors accessed these services in 2025.

The NM State women’s tennis team lost 4-1 to the Air Force Academy at the NAU Tennis Center in Flagstaff on Saturday morning.
The team will prepare for its next match against Texas State on Feb. 6 in San Marcos.
