- ➤ Local artists and ArtForms Artists Association of New Mexico launch For the Love of Art month with 30 studio tours on weekends and a member show at The HOOD opening tomorrow. - ➤ At Las Cruces High School, the competitive dance team POMs is thriving thanks to seniors Tara Gandy (a former ballet dancer) and Aliyah Juarez. - ➤ Dona Ana Community College and Dona Ana County have launched a new water technology internship program offering four students paid roles in county utilities starting in the spring or fall. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The city council voted Monday to end its three-year partnership with film studio 828 Productions after the firm failed to deliver promised local film infrastructure improvements (the agreement had allocated over $3.6 million in funds), and the studio must repay nearly $1.3 million in taxpayer money.
