Community Options hosted its record-breaking Cupid Chase 5K on Saturday morning — 958 runners supported its mission to help people with disabilities gain employment and independence.

The event, which marked the organization’s 37th anniversary, set the stage for next year’s race on Feb. 13.

On Nov. 2, Asher McCord, with Mike Hoskins and Arnaldo Pabon, climbed the Wedge in the Organ Mountains and scattered his father's ashes at the summit as a tribute to a legacy that began in 1950 and grew in 2000.
