  • Neighborhood watch captains have started quarterly meetings to bring different groups together in Las Cruces and share ideas on improving neighborhood safety—working closely with Officer Charli Velasco from the police department.   • Las Cruces Police arrested 20-year-old Tomas Rivera and a 17-year-old suspect on March 22 in connection with the March 21 Young Park shooting—three victims, Andrew Madrid, Jason Gomez, and Dominick Estrada, died and 15 others remain injured as the investigation continues.  The Las Cruces Bulletin
  • Police arrested a 15-year-old boy at 12:20 p.m. Sunday—making him the fourth suspect detained—in connection with the Young Park mass shooting that killed three teens and injured 15 on March 21.  Las Cruces Sun News
