- ➤ The state Supreme Court vacated the felony murder conviction of Mawu Ekon Revels, a Las Cruces man convicted in a 2021 house party shooting that killed Nicodemus Gonzales—he will face resentencing and may be retried on a felony or lesser murder charge. The Las Cruces Bulletin

- ➤ The New Mexico Supreme Court granted a stay in Brad Lunsford’s appeal to review Attorney General Raúl Torrez’s petition for superintending control—halting district court proceedings to protect the safety and privacy of a Dona Ana County juror. - ➤ Las Cruces Police Chief Jeremy Story said the department is short on officers after the March 21 Young Park shooting that left three dead and 15 injured.
