Rebel Creek Radio, a Las Cruces-based country band, is gaining a loyal following by reimagining 90s country hits — the band chose its name on a spur-of-the-moment suggestion and now delights fans with its unique sound.

The Mesilla Valley Music Festival will debut in Las Cruces from May 8 to 10, featuring orchestral + recital + jazz performances that aim to increase access to classical music and engage regional talent.

K–12 students will attend free as organizers plan to expand the event annually.

Las Cruces native Dzaki Sukarno began his music career on the FFA stage at Centennial High School and later won a state talent show — he studied at NMSU and built his traditional country sound in Nashville before returning home to tour nationally with a local band.
