- ➤ Sister Beth Daddio, who will turn 85 later this year, has helped homeless children by founding Jardin de los Niños — a childcare center for vulnerable kids — and running Tutti Bambini, a nonprofit children’s store that supports local families. The Las Cruces Bulletin
- ➤ The Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department is accepting entries for lighted floats for the Electric Light Parade with the theme Las Cruces Unidos that will take place on July 3; entries can be submitted online or in person by June 18 at 5 p.m. Participants driving float vehicles or representing clubs must attend meetings on June 26 and 27 — clubs are limited to 20 vehicles — with the parade starting at 9 p.m. at Apodaca Park and ending at the Maag Softball Complex after traveling on Solano Drive and Hadley Avenue. - ➤ Alma d’Arte Charter High School will honor its founder Irene Oliver-Lewis tomorrow by renaming its historic 1941 building as the Irene Oliver-Lewis Center for the Arts + a fundraiser at 402 W. Court Avenue will feature music, food and official presentations. The Las Cruces Bulletin
