- ➤ On Feb. 27, a dust storm on I-10 near Lordsburg caused an 11-vehicle crash that killed Joseph Malley, and state and federal officials along with scientists are studying wind erosion and road conditions to improve driver safety—experts warned that drier soil from climate change may make the highway even riskier. - ➤ Innovative Space Carrier Inc and its U.S. subsidiary Sirius Technologies signed a two-year operational lease at Spaceport America in May to test and develop launch vehicles — the first new tenant since a state land lease update in March.
