- ➤ Sunland Park approved the creation of a city utility department last week after Doña Ana County ended its deal with Camino Real Regional Utility Authority. The city is now weighing options to oversee water service and set aside $1.2 million to remove sediment from water tanks (the work will occur in the fall and winter) while keeping service steady.
