- ➤ Las Cruces police are investigating the death of 63-year-old Luther Lewis Gilbert—found near a bus stop on East Lohman Avenue on June 12 after emergency responders attempted lifesaving efforts—and are asking anyone with information to come forward. Las Cruces Sun News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Las Cruces has opened cooling stations to help residents cope with extreme heat as temperatures exceed 100 degrees. The stations will be available until June 18 (with set hours at community centers and the library) while residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
