  • This week, community events offer a busy schedule from today until June 26 with a screening of David Cronenberg’s The Shrouds at the Fountain Theatre in Mesilla, a production of Samuel Beckett’s ENDGAME at No Strings Theatre, and Noche de Excelencia tonight at Hotel Encanto—along with farmers’ markets, craft fairs, and music shows at local venues. CULTURE NEWS

  • Last week, No Strings Theatre Company performed Samuel Beckett’s one-act play Endgame (directed by Bobbi Masters) at the Black Box Theatre downtown. The final production of the season will run on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday matinees on June 22 and June 29 at 2:30 p.m., and one Thursday performance on June 26 at 7 p.m. (ticket prices range from $12 to $18).  The Las Cruces Bulletin

  • Olivia Belina, a mechanical engineering student at NMSU, started a chapter of the American Nuclear Society to give students a chance to learn about nuclear science and find internship opportunities—she plans to host professional speakers and hold a chapter-wide competition next fall to address current nuclear issues.  The Las Cruces Bulletin
