Since early July, thunderstorms caused flooding that damaged Mescalero and nearby areas, and over 90 airmen from Holloman and 7th ASOS worked with local volunteers to clear debris, sort donations, and fill sandbags to protect key sites—such as a fish hatchery that lost most of its fish.
