- ➤ On July 27, Las Cruces Police responded to an alleged domestic violence call on Embassy Drive where an officer discharged his firearm, arresting a man who suffered non life threatening injuries while no officer was hurt and the street was closed for the investigation (a press conference is scheduled for later this week). - ➤ Las Cruces Police identified 21-year-old Dominic Gage Martinez as the suspect in an officer-involved shooting on July 27 in the 1900 block of Embassy Drive after an officer fired a shot and used non-lethal force to subdue him—he faces charges of aggravated assault, resisting or obstructing, and assault on a household member, was treated at a local hospital, and booked into the county detention center. Police will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 31 in City Council Chambers to share additional details. The Las Cruces Bulletin
