The Animal Services Center in Mesilla Valley will soon expand its surgical suite with a $125,000 grant to boost spay and neuter surgeries and Bayard will renovate its animal shelter with a $290,600 grant — construction there will begin after procurement to improve care for pets across southern New Mexico.
