Construction is underway on a Casa de Peregrinos satellite food pantry in Sunland Park built with state and local funds to reduce travel for food assistance.

Las Cruces unveiled the Cultivating Community mural at Fire Station 2 on Thursday, July 30; artist Faridi Buhaya painted a vibrant tribute to Chiva Town — a project from the Public Art Program that brought city officials, firefighters, and residents together at the ribbon-cutting.

Two New Mexicans tested positive for West Nile virus after routine testing, with one hospitalized and one recovering at home.
NM Health expanded mosquito monitoring in southern counties where early monsoon rains increased breeding and advised residents to use EPA-approved repellent and wear long sleeves.
