Artist Faridi Buhaya unveiled the 'Cultivating Community' mural at Fire Station 2 today to honor Chiva Town history + curb graffiti; the artwork chosen by the community celebrates local firefighters and traditions.
🌲 Environment
New Mexico State Parks closed boat ramps at Elephant Butte Reservoir (at 1.4% capacity) and at Heron, Santa Rosa, El Vado, and Clayton Lakes because low water levels create hazards for boat launching.
Visitors can still enjoy other recreational opportunities and should check current lake conditions before heading out.
