Las Cruces Police arrested 18-year-old Apolinar Rosales in connection with a shooting near Salopek Park on September 4 that left 19-year-old Julia Clark dead and a man injured — police also responded Saturday to gunfire near Young Park and arrested two young adults on misdemeanor charges.
KRWG Public Media named KC Counts as its new content director, replacing Anthony Moreno who left in June.
Counts—who has hosted Morning Edition since 2021 and All Things Considered since 2019—will now lead content on radio, TV and digital platforms as the station faces lower federal funds and plans candidate forums for the Nov. 4 election.
