- ➤ The State of New Mexico announced that free childcare will start for all families on November 1 as part of its expanded universal childcare program. The program is expected to add 16,000 children—mainly infants and toddlers—and will support building new childcare centers and expanding home care in Doña Ana County. The Las Cruces Bulletin

- ➤ The State Land Office held its first meeting on Monday evening to discuss a possible land swap with BLM that would exchange parcels around Organ Mountain—Desert Peaks National Monument for parcels near the Santa Teresa and Las Cruces Industrial Park.
