- ➤ Between November 14 and 20, Las Cruces will host live theatre featuring The Lost Boys Shadow Cast at the Rio Grande Theatre, film screenings at the Fountain Theatre, art shows, candidate forums, community markets, and sports and wellness events such as NMSU Volleyball and a pancake brunch for female veterans. - ➤ Emma Christiano, the junior point guard for NMSU basketball, returned home after two years at Division II New Mexico Highlands, fulfilling her goal to play for the Aggies and lead on the court. - ➤ The undefeated and top-seeded Las Cruces High School football team will begin its state title run Friday night after a bye week. Other playoff games include Mesilla Valley Christian advancing in the 8-man bracket and Las Cruces hosting Los Lunas in Class 6A play, with postseason action set to continue toward Nov. 29. - ➤ On November 8, Organ Mountain runner Ashley Galaz finished third in the Class 5A Girls Cross Country Championships in Albuquerque with a 5K time of 19:22.2 — her performance marked one of the top finishes among local athletes.
