- ➤ From Friday November 28 through Thursday December 4, Las Cruces is hosting a busy lineup of community events including the free One Huge Fiesta downtown featuring games, animal displays, first responders, Santa and live music—along with Farmers & Crafts Markets, NMSU Aggies football, and performances of A Christmas Carol and a free Philharmonic concert. - ➤ Chef Armando Murillo (executive chef at the Las Cruces Convention Center) was born in Las Cruces and uses creative freedom to lead themed dinners that bring locals together while he shares his passion for cooking. - ➤ Las Cruces High used its running game to beat La Cueva 44 to 7 in the state semifinal, with Daniel Amaro rushing for 234 yards to boost the Bulldogs to a record of 12 to 0.
