The seasonal ice rink at the County Fairgrounds opened Friday, Nov.

New Mexico State University launched its first Ph.D. program in applied and agricultural biology through the Department of Entomology, Plant Pathology and Weed Science; its first cohort began in fall 2025 — a program that trains students to study pests and support sustainable local agriculture and food security.
