- ➤ Casa de Peregrinos (with support from Project Jupiter) held a Pop-Up Pantry on Dec. 5 at the Sunland Park Sports Complex, handing out 500 food boxes to local families; the food bank will host more winter pop-ups and open a new site in Sunland next fall. The Las Cruces Bulletin
- ➤ At the NMSU golf course in Las Cruces, the PGA Hope program will offer a six-week course where PGA professionals provide free golf lessons to help veterans boost their mental, social, physical and emotional well-being. - ➤ New Mexico State University will award 1,256 degrees at two ceremonies at the Pan American Center—master’s and doctoral degrees at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 and bachelor’s degrees at 10 a.m. Saturday. Graduates and the public may enter one hour early. The Las Cruces Bulletin
