5 at the Sunland Park Sports Complex, handing out 500 food boxes to local families; the food bank will host more winter pop-ups and open a new site in Sunland next fall.

At the NMSU golf course in Las Cruces, the PGA Hope program will offer a six-week course where PGA professionals provide free golf lessons to help veterans boost their mental, social, physical and emotional well-being.

The program gives veterans a chance to connect with peers and share their stories.
