  • A Christmas Day parade will honor Clayton Flowers— a former Tuskegee Airman celebrating his 110th birthday— on Dec. 25. The parade will line up at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Triviz Drive — Craig Avenue and begin at 2 p.m., open to all who want to join.  The Las Cruces Bulletin

CULTURE NEWS

  • The local production of 'White Christmas' at Las Cruces Community Theater is concluding on Sunday, Dec. 21, with 7:30 p.m. shows on Fridays and Saturdays and a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday, Dec. 20 featuring the Robillard family who bring Broadway experience to the community stage.  The Las Cruces Bulletin

EDUCATION NEWS

  • History students at NMSU have created an archival exhibit on local Black history—sharing stories from the desegregation era and sports—that is on display in the Branson Library lobby and will move to Zuhl Library in February for Black History Month.  The Las Cruces Bulletin

SPORTS NEWS

  • Daniel Amaro, the senior running back for Las Cruces High, was named the 2025 MaxPreps New Mexico High School Football Player of the Year. He led his team to an undefeated season with 1,931 yards and 42 touchdowns.  The Las Cruces Bulletin
  • Defensive tackle Ezra Christensen earned PFSN First-Team All-American honors on Wednesday morning + he became one of just five Group of Five athletes to earn such recognition, finishing the season with 6 sacks in 11 games + 42 tackles overall.  The Las Cruces Bulletin
