About this event
No experience needed, just a willingness to help and ability to move along uneven ground and work to cut/pull/dig/move cattails and tumbleweeds.
Recommendations:
• You need to dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes or boots.
• Bring water and snacks.
• Gloves (leather or thick canvas).
• Tools for cutting or digging (some may be provided).
• Other personal items such as hats, sunglasses, protective eye wear, and face masks (if you are dust or pollen adverse).
Feel free to bring a camp chair or stool for a rest break. You will be trained in where and how to maintain the wetland and trails. You can attend anytime within the 4-hour work session. Bring a friend or make new ones!
Note: If anyone needs gloves or tools, please let the organizers—Dale, Bonnie, Craig, or Graciela—know at the event, and we can lend you what you need.
