- ➤ Tibor Kocsis, a 17-year veteran firefighter, was named the new Deputy Chief of Administration for the Las Cruces Fire Department on May 19 — he had served as Battalion Chief since 2021 and led key rescue and flood response operations. - ➤ Today, the New Mexico Environment Department filed a lawsuit against the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority for failing to treat drinking water and notify residents of high arsenic levels—one violation occurred on May 6.
