If you've been following Project Jupiter, the Dec. 7 hearing on its air quality permit may not happen that day. Yucca Growth Infrastructure and the Environment Department's Air Quality Bureau filed a joint motion Nov. 3 asking the hearing officer to vacate it. As of Thursday morning, Organ Mountain News could not verify an order granting the request.
The developer also waived the Nov. 23 decision deadline, a reversal from its Oct. 23 filing. The state says it needs more time to review the developer's October revisions. The Santa Fe New Mexican reports the permit looks likely to slip into the new year, when Gov.-elect Deb Haaland takes office.
