Some residents left questioning the committee's independence. Santa Teresa resident Irene Rodriguez cited some members' role in drafting initial bylaws before the full committee convened. Others raised pollution, water, noise, heat and the project's distance from schools and neighborhoods.

  • Draft bylaws: regular meetings, public access, live Spanish interpretation
  • Recordings and transcripts: planned for the county's Project Jupiter website
  • Next: forums with invited experts on topics members choose
  • Meeting spots: committee expected to discuss sites closer to the project
